REGISTRATION CLOSES ON JULY 15TH, 2024

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we prepare for the upcoming Fall 2024 Sport's Season, we would like to extend a warm welcome to both returning and new student-athletes. We are thrilled to have you as a part of our athletic program and look forward to the excitement and challenges that the season will bring.

At Bergen County Technical Schools, our athletic program is an integral part of the total educational process. We believe that participation in interscholastic athletics can teach young people important life skills such as determination, perseverance, sportsmanship, communication, and teamwork. Our goal is to support you in your pursuit of success both academically and athletically.

Bergen County Technical Schools is comprised of four campuses - Bergen County Academies (BCA), Teterboro (TTECH), Paramus (PTECH), and Applied Tech (ATHS). We are proud to offer our student-athletes the opportunity to play under the banner of the Bergen Tech Knights, regardless of which campus they attend. Our student-athletes come from all four campuses and compete together in a spirit of unity and teamwork. This fosters a sense of community and inclusivity across our campuses and helps to build lasting friendships and bonds.

Bergen Tech is proud to compete in the Big North Conference and the NJTAC. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of sportsmanship and integrity and are strongly committed to the rules and regulations set forth by the NJSIAA and Big North Conference. We offer teams at the varsity, junior varsity, and freshman levels, providing opportunities for athletes of all levels to participate and grow.

Parent/Guardian and Student Athlete must register together.

Please have the Student ID# prior to registration. If you are an incoming 9^th grader, you do not need this number. This number can be found in PowerSchool, it is a 7 -digit number beginning with the last 2 digits of the grad year (ex. 248800)

In accordance with NJ State Law and the policies of the Bergen County Technical School District:

****HHUQ’s are due every sport season.

Submit hard copies of all medical forms to your campus nurse, see contact information below. Medical forms should only go to nurses, not to the athletic department. All questions, concerns and status of medical forms should be directed to the campus nurse.

Approval Process

Submit medical forms to your campus nurse by the July 15, 2024 deadline. Paperwork submitted after will not be guaranteed approval.
School Physician will review all Physicals after July 15, 2024
Athletic Trainers will then review and approve all registrations. An email will be sent by the athletic trainers with approval status.

Information for Shared-Time Students at the Paramus Campus:

You have the choice to play for Bergen Tech or your Home District however, once you choose which one to play for, that is where you will play all your sports for the year, unless a specific sport is not offered at the school.

Ex. You choose BT Soccer (Fall Sport) and want to play Basketball (Winter Sport) you will have to play Basketball for BT.

You choose BT Soccer (Fall Sport) but want to do Wrestling (Winter Sport) you can play for your home district because BT does NOT offer Wrestling.
